Hi, my name is Elijah. In the last few years, I have become keenly aware of the hardships that many suffer due to lack of good medical care here and abroad. I want to be part of the solution. Right now, I am studying and working hard at the university to understand public health policy and prepare for medical school.

I would like to ask for your help. I have an opportunity to serve as a volunteer medical assistant in Juticalpa, Honduras. There is an acute need for health services to the underprivileged community in that region. For five weeks this summer, I will be assisting local doctors and gaining invaluable first-hand clinical experience.

My travel budget is frugal, but I am asking for your help to raise funds. All donations will go to the cost of airfare and direct travel expenses (eg. payment to host families for room and board) during my stay from June 25 to August 1st. I have a target goal of $2000. Please consider donating $20, $50, or $100. However, no donation is too small. I appreciate any support that you are able to offer. Any funds raised beyond my target goal will be used to buy supplies for the hospital in Juticalpa or one of the nearby clinics in that area.
