My 8 year old son Elijah was diagnosed March 12, 2019 with Type 1 diabetes. His A1C has finally qualified him for an insulin pump. Our insurance company has put us in a bind where we can either get the pump they pay for (which his endocrinologist does not recommended for children) and keep our current doctors or switch insurance companies to get the better pump and change all of his doctors. We are trying to raise any amount to help us get him his insulin pump. This pump would give him a chance of having as normal a childhood a Type 1 Diabetic can have.
