ELIJAH 'S STORY
Donation protected
Six years ago at age 16 Elijah was diagnosed with a rare pediatric cancer called Mesulloblastoma. This type of cancer is extremely tumorous and starts in the cerebellum spreading to other parts of the brain through spinal cord fluid. He underwent extensive radiation and chemo fir almost a year. They thought after all of these treatments they were in the clear, but during a routine annual MRI another tumor was found. Six weeks ago they received a call from his oncologist doctor stating a spot had been found on his right frontal lobe and he needed to be seen right asap. He had a second brain surgery on July 26. Ten minutes before surgery they received news from the surgeon that the MRI taken the day before surgery showed another issue. He has developed a disease called Leptomeningeal where basically the other cancer has metastasized covering his brain in a film like state causing several more tumors.
This is absolutely the most heart breaking news any mother can hear. At this point Elijah's prognosis is TERMINAL. Elijah is a very strong willed, kind hearted 22 year old young man that will not be able to experience all the things in life he wanted to do. He has dealt with a lot of tragedy in his young life on his 21st birthday he is stll reeling from. Since receiving his prognosis in August we have seen such a zest for life in him which hasn't been seen in over 6 years due to depression and anxiety. He has a 8 year brother that he adores, his animals and has developed a love for honey bee's. We know the Lord has his hand on Elijah and his will be done. The only thing his mom has stated she has control of at this point is making his last months easier and remarkable as possible. There is so much he wants to see and do in the months he has left. I am asking for donations for this amazing family. Jamie is a single mom with her two sons. This is Jamie's second tragedy she is dealing with she lost her husband a year and half sgo. I'm asking for donations as she is having to miss work for Elijah's doctor appointments also to help with doctor bills and house bills. Please donate any amount you can and as often as possible.
