Elijah Robinson’s Brain Surgery

We are raising money to help Elijah Robinson and his family help pay for the expenses incurred during his brain surgery. Please read this note from his mother Rebecca:

“Sooooo. This explains a lot of what's been going on with him, AND his epilepsy. Everything that wasn't making sense before is making sense now.

The white is a tumor. The black is a huge cyst ON the tumor. You can see the way it's pushing his brain off-center and distorting it. His excruciating headaches, pressure behind his right eye, and vision issues are certainly understandable now.

Doc said it's probably been there and slowly growing since birth., and that THIS is the cause of his epilepsy. Why was it missed (or misdiagnosed) the last time he had an MRI??? That is the question of the day.

Tomorrow is pre-op stuff and then Tuesday=SURGERY DAY.

The doctor said it's a "huge" surgery and of course had to outline the risks (like they always do).

If fully successful this will solve sooooo much for him. If they aren't able to fully remove it, he might have to have radiation, and it will run the risk of regrowth.
