Elijah Marcus Johnson

Elijah Marcus Johnson was born April 14, 2021 via emergency C-Section at 31 weeks and 5 days, due to a placental abruption. Not only was he 2 months premature, but he then suffered a hypoxic event (lack of oxygen to his brain) which resulted in a severe brain injury called Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy. He was resuscitated for 10 minutes at birth, but it is unknown when he took his last breath before being born. But GOD! After 143 Longggg Days, he was finally released from the hospital to be with his family. Elijah showed great progress after multiple heel pricks, IV’s, 3 blood transfusions and an IV infiltration. 8 months later Elijah was re-admitted into the hospital due to his complications with Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy.

Elijah fought day and night, but on Tuesday evening, December 21, 2021 he took his last little breath, "His Lord said unto him, "Well done, good and faithful servant;" Matthew 25:23. We are in deep regret that Elijah Marcus Johnson has transitioned to heaven. During this trying time we are asking for prayers and donations to assist Elijah's Mother, Imani Craighead and Father, John Johnson with funeral expenses, flowers and the closing and opening of the grave.
