Homegoing

Hi, my name is Ebony Avery. My son Elijah Lee Coleman. (Eli) was born. Dec 8,2001 with a known disease. Sickle Cell Anemia SS Disease and asthma. Because of the complications that came along.He developed an enlarged heart, hydomycarthy of the heart, pulmonary hypertension, and Acute chest syndrome. It also caused him to have TIAs at an early age, and a seizure. Elijah also had to be air lifted numerous of times to Kansas City Children’s. In Kansas City Missouri, where he was treated. At one point We moved to kc, mo to be closer to this hospital. When Elijah wasn’t sick, he enjoyed. Spending time with his family and friends. At a young age he loved to sing, play basketball and always had a mic in his hand. At two he won the most beautiful baby contest, those big cheeks and big beautiful eyes. Sent him to hutchinson Kansas, then all the way to Chicago. He was also involved the youth ministry. At our home church. At age 8 make a wish made his dream come true and he got to go to Disney World. He loved playing his game, along with this friends. He learned to play the drums, and also attended boxing classes. When he turned 16. He went to drivers school and got his drivers license. In 2020 he graduated. He again desired to go to welding school and open up his own barber shop. But his health would not allow. In 2021 he desired to move to Texas and receive access to specialist. He shortly was placed on a ventilator, due to his health. In 2023 he went into cardiac arrest. Due to his illness. At the end of December. I took Elijah back to the hospital. He was then transfers to. Baylor University Medical. In Dallas Texas. On January 4th he was moved to ICU. Where he was placed on a ventilator, then shortly went into cardiac arrest. This time he gained his wings and went home to be with the lord. Unfortunately l was not prepared for my angels departure. I am asking the community for any donations of any sort, to assist with a proper homegoing celebration, In his home town. Wichita, Kansas. On January 5,2024.
