Hey!

My name is Elijah (he/they), I'm 20 years old and I'm an apprentice sound engineer and folk musician from Newcastle Upon Tyne living in South Manchester. I'm also transmasculine and aiming towards getting a gender dysphoria diagnosis , top surgery, and starting testosterone which is why I'm starting this donation space for my transition fund!

Growing up in the North East, although I'd been on the waiting list for 2+ years after having first spoke to a gp at 16, there was really no chance of me being able to access any gender affirming care for 20+ years (i know. the north east waiting times are insane). Because of this, moving to Manchester, i switched to Indigo but unfortunately, they didn't backlog my time meaning i was once again pushed to the back of a waiting list.

This was really painful for me because i've been living without any gender affirming care for years and years and the toll on my mental and physical health due to this has been awful.

Because of all that i've been saving for top surgery and the new plan is go private, get a diagnosis as quick as possible and launch into my transition, but because i don't really have much money as an apprentice renting in Manchester i'm really struggling to make that dream happen. hopefully, that's where this page comes in !

i know it's really tough times right now but if anyone did want to help me work towards this goal i'd be really grateful.
