Elijah Duttons Discipleship Training School

As you are aware it’s been a pretty intense season for our family over the past few months and in the midst of all that has happened I’ve sensed some changes needing to happen in my own journey and that God wanted to give me an opportunity to take some time to learn, heal, experience new things and see some of my life story come together in new ways.

I’m excited to say that I’ve been accepted for my Discipleship Training School (DTS) with the University of the Nations Kona campus. I’m really excited about the school but being able to go back to where I grew up in my early years is extra special.

I now need, to help follow what God has planted in my heart to raise the funds for the school.

The program has two main parts. First is a 12 week lecture phase which I attend with 50 -100 other young people and we are learn and are challenged about our relationship with God, with others and with the world and how we can live a life that is bigger than just ‘me’ but one that works to impact the world in which I live.

The second part is where we go and practically live out what we’ve learned in some of the most unreached places on the planet. The focus of my DTS’s is for places where the gospel message is rarely heard or non-existent. We will serve their communities practically however they need, learn about their culture and show how the message of hope can make a difference in their everyday world.

In order to do this school and all it encompasses I need to raise $14,500 AUD. This includes my airfares, school and outreach fees, insurances etc.

I’ve been working and saving myself which I will continue to do until I leave knowing I have to invest my whole self into seeing this happen but I can’t do it alone which is why I’m asking you to partner with me.
