Hello Everyone,

My name is Krystal and my husband’s name is Elliott.
Our Journey began 3 years ago…after trying to conceive for about 2 years we decided to seek a specialist for more help. This year has been one of the hardest years for us both. We have been traveling to Richmond for the past year about once a week. My doctor there has been super amazing! Over this year I’ve had to go through a series of several tests. After the long drawn out and emotional process we found out on Aug 1st I would be undergoing surgery to have both of my Fallopian Tubes Removed. Never did I think in a million years this would be the case. This was my first surgery and I was definitely nervous, but we knew this had to be done. When I woke up out of Surgery I found out they had removed both tubes and now the only way we will be able to conceive will be through IVF. The surgery was a lot more intense than I thought! I can’t thank my Husband, Family, and Friends enough for being there for me during this difficult time. Luckily, I did bounce back fairly fast and was able to go back to work within 7 days after my surgery. Before my Surgery I went kickboxing every day at 5:30am and didn’t realize how much of an impact it made on my life until after surgery. I was determined to get back to working out and pull myself out of this hole that I had slowly fallen into. Here we are about 4 weeks later…back in Richmond for the Post Op. Today was such a relief after wondering for weeks if we were going to be able to do IVF. Finally, the Doctor gave us the green light and said we are able to start in October. As some of you may know this is a very expensive process. All of these funds will be going 100% towards our IVF Cycle. As our insurance will not cover any of the IVF. On top of all of that, I will also have to take several days off of work to do blood tests and any other testing. Every night we have prayed for a child of our own. We've had several sleepless nights, long work hours, and lots of research to do, but we know in the end when we are able to hold a child of our own everything will be well worth it.
