Elida's Legacy: Help Her Family Heal

I am Kayla, Elida’s daughter. As many know, my mom was someone who would always brighten your day just with her smile or her kind words. She was one of a kind. She never asked for help; she was the one always helping others. When my mom became sick, she was a fighter, and that is a word that describes her. This past year and this year, she became worse, and things became tough for her. At the end of June, she was hospitalized for something that we thought would be a simple fix and go home, but unfortunately, that was not the case. She put up a fight for sure until her body couldn’t fight anymore. My mom is missed so much by me, the rest of my family, and close friends. My mom has never been one to ask for anything, but at this time, we are asking for some help to cover expenses that have come up, funeral costs, and just everyday needs so my dad can get by. We just want to say thank you to all our friends and family who have been patient while we continue to figure this new way of life out without the one that we love and miss.
