In loving memory of our mother Elia Castañeda, we are raising money to help pay for her funeral and medical expenses.

This past year our mom was admitted to Kaiser's ICU six different times with a diagnosis of acute respiratory distress, where she was intubated 5 out of the 6 times, and spent weeks at a time in the ICU.

Our mother was a true warrior. She fought long and hard, but doctors could not find the source of the infection or alleviate her symptoms.

Elia was a beautiful woman who brought a smile to everyone she met. She was so smart, funny, and clever, and she is greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband and five children. Her memory lives on in all of us.
