On August 24th, Elias was found by his father unresponsive in his bed. After reaching the hospital, the doctors were able to get Elias’ heart beating again. We were all unsure of how long he was without oxygen. The doctors worked and did tests for 5 days trying to get answers and bring Elias back to us. On August 28th at 1:20 pm, he was declared brain dead. It was decided that Elias’ last act on this earth should be an honorable one. Elias’ was able to give someone else life by donating organs. While we feel Elias was taken too soon, we trust in God’s plan.
