I’m writing on behave of the Herrera family. Elias Herrera II was an incredible, loving, caring, giving husband, father, son, brother, uncle & friend. He served as a pillar in his community, coaching little league baseball and serving as a board member for the DIPG foundation. Elias’ smile and laugh was so bright and contagious. He lit up any room he walked into. Elias was such a good hearted and genuine person. He was definitely one of a kind.

Elias was diagnosed at the end of June of 2022. It is with great difficulty and heavy hearts to I announce that Elias lost his battle to stage 4 gastrointestinal cancer on October 26th of 2022.

While this loss is without a doubt, the most difficult, extremely sudden, hardship that our family has ever endured, we would like to celebrate Elias’ legacy of compassion, kindness and selflessness as he was most known for.

As we prepare for services, we humbly ask our friends and family for a lending hand to support the funeral and medical expenses.
