Eliane Correa & La Evolución Concert Streaming

Hello, my name is Eliane Correa and I'm the pianist and director of La Evolución, an ensemble of the UK and Europe's top Latin musicians playing original modern salsa & timba music. We function as anything from a septet to a 14-piece orchestra. Fronted by renowned Cuban vocalist Yadira Ferrer (previously the equally legendary Juanita Euka), we started out inspired by the modern Havana sound of large-format orchestras and soon found our own London-infused voice, without losing touch with the powerful grooves that characterise the Cuban sound. We've been delivering the UK and Europe with a high-energy modern Timba (“Cuban salsa”) sound that is fiery but sophisticated and we really, really miss bringing this to you onstage.

Last year we headlined the Glastonbury Festival Latin stage and sold out the Jazz Café and Pizza Express Jazz Club, and in January we sold out the legendary Ronnie Scott's; we were due to play another show there on November 29th as a septet with special guests. Unfortunately the UK has gone into lockdown again, and the show - along with every other bit of live music in the country - has been postponed. A winter without music is not something we wish upon anybody, so we're very happy to announce that we have a fantastic new set that we are able to bring to you via streaming, direct to the comfort of your home, but this has costs attached to it, as you can imagine.







For the occasion, we're streaming as a 9-piece of some of the UK's top Latin and Cuban musicians, plus an array of fantastic guest vocalists from across the board - and we will only be playing our own original material, a repertoire that you won't be able to hear again until our album comes out in the Spring!


This crowdfunding is just for us to cover the basic costs and expenses:

-Studio costs
-Video recording and editing + postproduction
-Audio editing and mixing
-Transport for musicians and instruments to and from the studio
-Food and drink


Operating an online concert is a complicated and expensive process, and without a crowdfunding we wouldn't be able to meet the quality standards that you'd expect from us on anything we bring to you, so please, assist us in bringing you a professionally recorded, Full HD video, top vibes concert direct to your screen!
