Fundraising for Ellie & the Kang Family

My name is Alyssa Symmes and I’m seeking your help in fundraising for one of the kindest families I know. The sweetest, Minnie Mouse loving little girl, 3 (almost 4) year old Eliana “Ellie” Kang, was devastatingly diagnosed with Leukemia on July 13th. This came just a few days after Ellie’s mom (Lindsay), dad (Doug) and three siblings (Bella, Gigi & Nico) made their big move from Northern CA to their long held dream destination of San Diego.

This news hits especially hard, as their family recently lost their beloved mom/MIL/grandmother to cancer as well. Ellie certainly has one heck of a guardian angel looking out for her!

Lindsay was set to start her new job working as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist in schools next month (all while being a mom of 4!!! including an infant son), but will be unable to work until at least January 2023 in order to care for Ellie who cannot attend daycare due to her diagnosis. Lindsay is a super hero mommy who does it ALL beautifully and without complaint. This family isn’t one to ever ask for help, but Lindsay and Doug have humbly agreed to accept help via this fundraiser.

I would love to use this money to help relieve this family’s unimaginable financial and emotional burden in any way possible. Be that toward their mortgage, groceries, cleaning, etc.
