Eli's Snapped Santa Cruz V10

Hello everyone my name is Eli. This past weekend I was racing at windrock bike park for the second Downhill Southeast race of the year. I was having lots of fun with everyone, making lots of new friends. Saturday went good in practice then came Sunday, race day. I did some more practice and around 12:05 my race run came. I was super pumped to race and see how I stacked to all the incredibly fast kids there. Not even 20 seconds into my run I made a small mistake clipping a tree sending me and my bike straight into a tree. This ended in snapping my Santa Cruz V10 into 2 pieces and damaging lots of parts. I am incredibly disappointed because I've put all my savings into this bike. Countless lawns I have mowed to pay for this expensive bike. I love racing and am hoping to race the rest of the season but without help theres no way I will be able to afford a new bike/frame. This experience really does show me how lucky I was, if I ended the same way the bike did I could have been done riding forever. Even though I can't even describe how bummed I am to see my bike like this I am still very thankful to be walking.
