Elijah Owens is a 17 year-old local Calgary motocross racer that has grown up Racing in Calgary since he was 5 years old with the support for his mom, dad and sister.
On Sunday, September 14, 2025, Eli was involved in a serious motocross incident at the Wild Rose Motocross facility while racing with his friends. Towards the end of his moto, Eli crashed causing a serious head injury, along with a broken back which required surgery to repair. Eli has been in the Calgary Foothills hospital intensive care unit ever since the incident and it’s going to be a long road to recovery. Eli has yet to awaken since the accident however, he has shown some responsiveness to family members by moving his toes and a giving a thumbs up. We can only pray and hope this promising and positive news will lead to a full recovery.
the road to recovery will not be easy and is going to be very stressful and time consuming for Eli and his family.
The Go Fund Me has being created to support Eli and the Owens family throughout this long road to recovery. It will help Eli and his family with the recovery expenses and time away from work plus expenses towards travelling to and from hospital and medical appointments in the future along with any medical needs outside the healthcare system.
All donations in any denomination would be greatly appreciated.
Please pray with us for Eli’s full recovery, and help support the Owen’s family during this difficult time.
Thank you for your prayers and your support!
