Eli Nielsen 2019 Junior World Biathlon

Skiing fast and shooting straight are all about commitment. 

After yet another intensive year of training, Eli has secured a spot on the Junior US biathlon team, and will be competing in the World Biathlon Championship races, held in Orsiblie, Slavakia, from January 23rd to February 4th.  Two Gold and one Silver finish at Soldier's Hollow at the end of December 2018 qualified him for this  honor. 
Eli and all of his Youth and Junior teammates will be wonderful ambassadors of the USA .

Eli is currently a freshman  at Montana State University, working two jobs on and off campus, and trying to establish  state residency by funding more than half of his college expenses.  This first semester was reading, writing, and  the seminar experience, where critical listening, thinking, and respectful dialog  are emphasized, and an absolutely critical set of skills  to practice.  Biathlon as a formally practiced discipline has been an  anchor in Eli's life since his start with Methow Valley Nordic Team and with the Methow Biathlon team under Betsy Smith.  He is inspired to greatness by past and present coaches and teammates.
