Eli Cole’s Bone Marrow Transplant
Donation protected
Hello, thank you to all who have been praying for and supporting Eli Cole and his family! On August 11th, (the day after his 18th Birthday), Eli received a stem cell/bone marrow transplant in hopes of curing rare auto-immune diseases, HLH and Clippers. The full scope of the transplant's actual success is yet to be revealed, though we are grateful for every small step forward and pray for strength during every difficult setback. Thankfully, the transplant itself went smoothly! However, Eli has since been struggling with a multitude of viruses, infections, respiratory and digestive issues, as well as kidney and liver problems, all while his new immune system attempts to rebuild following the transplant. Eli's parents administer infusions and medication in their own home daily. The whole family needs our support and prayers to uphold them during this frightening and tumultuous journey.
This Go Fund Me page is an opportunity for those wanting to help the Cole family financially as they face the exorbitant medical expenses of a Bone Marrow Transplant and recovery, which average upwards of $800,000. The family had incurred tremendous medical expenses prior to the transplant, treating Eli's unexplained illnesses, attempts at diagnosis, infusion treatments, genetic testing, hospital stays, and ongoing monthly prescriptions. Since the August transplant, expenses have continued to soar, and this journey is far from over.
The physical and emotional toll on Eli and his family are also immense. We ask for prayers that this transplant eventually provides the cure for which it was intended and that the road to recovery is free of additional illness and infections. We pray also for hope, comfort, and strength for Eli and his family to get through this dark time with the love and support of friends and community. Thank you!
