Help IDP`s In The Ignored War In Sudan

There are about 10 million internally displaced people in Sudan, according to UNHCR. The war has left half the population of about 50 million facing a hunger crisis and in need of humanitarian aid, the most of any country. The United Nations has called the situation one of the world’s “largest displacement crises”. Others have called it "The Ignored War".
We are a group of people working with these refugees. We want to provide more tangible help to these refugees. We raise funds for to be able to buy in: Lentils, Beans, Flour and wheat, Blankets.
Aid shipments have been blocked by the military. We are already on site and most of us have worked for various emergency aid organisations. But we feel that it is not enough. All our aid workers are Sudanese, except me who is starting this fundraiser. I am from Sweden, but I have very strong ties to Sudan.
On Thursday, August 15, we ran into an old man in the refugee camp in Gedaref. The man's name was Ahmed and he was over 80 years old. He owned nothing but the clothes on his body. He was lying directly on the ground, unprotected from rain and wind. Ahmed had diabetes and was blind because of it. And now he was about to lose his legs. He just lay there crying. We find a tarpaulin to protect himself from the rain, a blanket to warm himself with, and medicine for his illness. But there are many, many, like Ahmed in the camp. We would like to help them too, and with more money we can do that. Because we operate in the local market and have access to all the goods needed.
Help us help Ahmed.
