My name is Lory Peroff. I am a third grade teacher on the island of Oahu. I am also a mother of two young daughters and a runner. I have been teaching for 15 years. I have had the opportunity to work with and learn from amazing educators on my journey. I would like to invite you to join me in thanking the educators who are working now harder than ever with all their heart to make future leaders.
I would like to dedicate my marathon run this year to elevating and celebrating the wonderfully hard working and dedicated teachers of Hawaii. All the proceeds of my marathon will go to fund a conference called ECET (Elevating and Celebrating Teachers) honoring Hawaii's teacher leaders. ECET2 (Elevating and Celebrating Effective Teaching and Teachers) conference for 100 teacher leaders across the state. This unique conference is designed for teachers, by teachers, and will include inspirational keynote speakers, breakout sessions that will give our teachers new innovative strategies to improve student learning, and collaboration time with their peers to brainstorm solutions around education.
Every little bit will help to create a conference that celebrates our hard working teachers.
