Elevate MVSU Tennis: Donate for Lighting & Gear

Greetings, I am Deartis Barber, III, and I am the father of Dylan Stone Barber, who is a freshman student-athlete at Mississippi Valley State University. Dylan is a member of the men's tennis team, which is led by Coach Riley Murray. Coach Murray is building a program at this wonderful institution of higher learning, which is also an HBCU.

The teams, both men and women, could benefit greatly from a racquet stringing machine and repair of the outdoor lighting system on their practice courts. As tennis is not a revenue-generating enterprise on college campuses, the presence of this sport in tandem with the opportunities it provides to students is immeasurable in its significance. By affording the tennis program at MVSU to have a stringing machine and outdoor lighting for its practice court will provide reverberating dividends not only for the tennis teams but also for the community in terms of outreach programs and exposure to residents in the Mississippi Delta region.
