ELEPHANT - a short film made to get ICE out of LA

Donation protected
Hi everyone. I am a filmmaker from the San Fernando Valley looking to fund my upcoming project ELEPHANT, a short film that covers the ICE deportations in the San Fernando Valley.

The film portrays a series of twelve fictional assassinations carried out against those directly and indirectly involved with the endless kidnappings. When those in power refuse to punish these officers and disband their secret police force, when they're left to walk the same community they've terrorized, this is the response. Based on the 1989 short film by Alan Clarke about the Troubles in Ireland, this short film features no dialogue. No names are mentioned. No one character stands as the protagonist or the antagonist. No explanations are given because it’s already understood.

We are currently in production and by the time we will wrap editing, we will have spent $10,000 of our own money to fund this. We're asking to meet just half of that at $5,000. Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley (specifically the areas most targeted by ICE), this is an extremely personal story to me that. So personal that this movie can and will be made regardless of how much support it receives. But I want to make this movie for everyone in LA living and dealing with these abuses, Not just for myself.

All donations, no matter the size, will be credited in the movie. While the goal is still $5,000 and all donations are deeply appreciated, we're looking to have as many supporters as possible. We'd rather receive $100 from a hundred $1 donations than from one $100 donation. Your support for this film is your voice attached to this project, saying that you've had enough of the terror and human trafficking and murder in our community. And when the end credits roll up, we hope to see rows and rows of names (anonymous donations welcome!) to show everyone that this was truly made by the people of Los Angeles.
