Hi , my name is Veronika and I am fundraising for my best friend, Eleonore, who started chemotherapy on her 32d birthday on the fifth of September. The funds will be used to support her hospital expenses, her family and her newborn baby during this hard time.

Eleonore is from Ukraine and has recently immigrated to Canada. She gave birth to a beautiful girl. Her cancer has developed very quickly, it took only 4 months.

In August 2025 she started feeling an acute pain in chest , the doctors couldn’t give her a definite answer, and after a few weeks of waiting she found out that she is at the 3d stage of cancer. It is not operable anymore, the tumor has reached 13,6 cm and is located between the heart and lungs, pressing on aorta, carotid artery and the heart.

Brilliant ice skating coach, who trained so many students in foreign countries, a young mom and a great friend whom I knew for many years.

Eleonore is not alone, she is with her supportive partner, her baby, her family far away, and her friends around the world.

I really believe that we will share more memories together, laughs and cries, remembering the beginning of our friendship which started in Vietnam. I wish you all the strength and all the love and prayers go to you !
