When I came to Northwest University I wasn’t entirely sure what my next step would be. I went back to school to become an educator to have the capacity to empower students through education. I came trusting that the same God who gave me this passion would see me through my time at NU and have the right opportunity for me when I finish.
My cousin (founder of Lively Stones Mission) has had connections in Rwanda for quite some time and was asked to build a school there. I had no idea all the while, but my first year at NU was when he purchased the land and laid the foundation. As I completed my degree in education the school opened its first few classes. I keep circling around this thought that as I was praying for God to open a door he was building one.
I’ve accepted a teaching position at the school and will be moving to Rwanda at the end of December.
I’m amazed at how God has orchestrated all of this and am still processing a lot of it. I’m thrilled at the opportunity to come along side of the teachers already there and learn from them. I can’t wait to meet my students and am thrilled beyond words to be a part of this school community.
Thank you for even considering to partner with me, it means so much!
Here are some ways you can help:
• PRAY
[for me, the school, the students, the teachers, the 3 more teacher we need to hire, + school curriculum]
•FINANCIAL SUPPORT
[This cost covers my two week trip to Rwanda in September, my move there at the end of December, school curricula, school supplies, and additional school expenses]
