Elena's Final Journey Home

Elena Imes passed away 3/9/2025 in the burn unit in Pittsburg.

Many of you were very familiar with her and knew her as Bathsheba.

Her home caught on fire while she was there. She was trapped inside for a small amount of time before being rescued. She was taken to a local hospital and then she was flew to Pittsburgh.

I have known and helped her out for 10 years through Coal City Fire Department I have never know of a next of kin. I also spoke with the hospital who had no next of kin for her. She called the fire department guys her family. I allowed the hospital to place me as her next of kin so someone could make sure she gets the respect she deserves.

It’s now time to get her back home, cremated, and given the proper burial.

Her cremation is being done through Perman Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Pittsburgh. They are allowing us to mail them a check for the cost.
