Elena's Figh Against Epilepsy

My name is Elena Blanco. I am 18 years old. I'm raising funds for an EEG. My story began when I was 6 years old and the teacher began to notice that I was very distracted and did not follow the instructions. He told my parents and they took me to the doctor. When the doctor arrived she checked me and did not notice anything strange. They sent me to a specialist neurologist and after checking me they diagnosed me with absence epilepsy and gave me treatment, my parents told him that some children go through these absences at 3 or 4 years old but they are very sporadic and as soon as it comes, the case goes away with me it developed very big I started with the treatment and after months the medicine gave me constant panic attacks and I stopped taking the medicine my absence seizures continued but they were very short the years passed and I had the hope that when I entered adolescence everything happens they will go away, as the neurologist said at some point, but instead of going away, the duration of the episodes of absences became longer over time 5 months before I turned 18 one night I went to bathe and when I was taking a shower I fell and it was my first attack my brother called 911 and they took me to the hospital and they hospitalized me for 4 days by that time I no longer had a doctor and from there they referred me to another. I got out of the hospital and went to the new neurologist and started treatment. Then the most frequent attacks began so far in the year 2022. I have gone to the hospital more than 15 times for my attacks and right now the neurologist who treats me now did an EEG for 1 hour but I did not see anything and 1 of my medicines already It is on the highest dose and they need to do another deeper test and it is to check well what type of epilepsy it is. Mi nombre es Elena Blanco. Tengo 18 años. Estoy recaudando fondos para un electroencefalograma. Mi historia comenzó cuando tenía 6 años y la maestra comenzó a notar que estaba muy distraída y no seguía las instrucciones. Se los avisó a mis padres y me llevaron al médico. Cuando llegó la doctora me revisó y no notó nada extraño. Me mandaron con un neurólogo especialista y después de revisarme me diagnosticaron epilepsia de ausencias y me dieron tratamiento, mis padres le dijeron que algunos niños pasan por estas ausencias a los 3 o 4 años pero son muy esporádicas y así como viene se va conmigo el caso se desarrollo muy grande comence con el tratamiento y despues de meses el medicamento me daba constantes ataques de panico y deje de tomar el medicamento mis crisis de ausencia continuaban pero eran muy cortas pasaban los años y tenia la esperanza de que cuando entrara en la adolescencia todo pasara se van a quitar, como dijo en algún momento el neurólogo, pero en lugar de quitarse, la duración de los episodios de ausencias se hizo más larga con el tiempo 5 meses antes de cumplir los 18 una noche me fui a bañar y cuando me estaba bañando me cai y fue mi primer ataque mi hermano llamo al 911 y me llevaron al hospital y me internaron 4 dias para ese tiempo ya no tenia medico y de ahi me refirieron a otro. Salí del hospital y fui al nuevo neurólogo y comencé el tratamiento. Luego comenzaron los ataques más frecuentes en lo que va del año 2022. He ido al hospital más de 15 veces por mis ataques y ahorita el neurólogo que me atiende ahora me hizo un EEG por 1 hora pero no veía nada y 1 de mis medicinas ya esta en la dosis mas alta y necesitan hacer otra prueba mas profunda y es para chequear bien que tipo de epilepsia es.
