Elena Stray Cat Emergency Care
Donation protected
This is Elena, a stray cat who has lived on our deck for about 5 years. We have housed with a home made feral cat shelter and fed her outdoors during that time. About 6 months ago she finally let us pet her for the first time. Within the last 2 weeks she let us hold her for about 30 seconds to one minute daily. Yesterday I found her laying seriously injured on our deck, still but breathing very heavily. I rushed her to the vet, who assesed her and sent us to the emergency facility for 24hour care and an oxygen cage. It's too soon to say if she will make it, but what we know is that she has 4 broken ribs and heavily bruised lungs. The vet is caqutiously optimistic. Her estimated emergency care is what we are trying to raise money for. We really need help with this. We want to adopt her and bring her inside for good, and had been working towards this. She will have other vet bills and long term care, but this is alot of money all at once for us. This tiny cat is a friend of each of us in the house, and to our other 3 indoor cats if only through the windows and doors. If you can, any amount of money helps us to save her, and we deeply appreciate anything at all that anyone can do to help us save this little girl who has had such a hard life. We only want to make her life a better one.
