Electrical shock recovery
Donation protected

Since the accident, I have had severe pain in my left hip, left knee, lower back and face/jaw. My lower extremity and groin are numb to the touch. I am physically and mentally a shell of my former self. I’ve already undergone an arthroscopic medial meniscectomy. The surgeon told me that I will require a knee replacement in the near future due to the injury. Of most concern, on September 25, 2018, I underwent an EMG and nerve conduction study. The impression was “abnormal study: findings are consistent with: sensory polyneuropathy, right peroneal/fibular neuropathy, left sciatic neuropathy.” The doctor who performed the test said, “I’ve never seen these results in my career.” Furthermore, when the needle was inserted into my calf and thigh, and current was induced, the muscles knotted so badly that the needle bent and broke off.
Before this incident, I was working full time without any pain, and was fully capable of caring for my elderly parents. Since the electric shock, I am no longer able to work and awaiting Social Security Disability (which could take at least a year to receive).
Between medical expenses for my parents and myself, I've exhausted all funds, savings have been depleted, and I struggle daily to make ends meet, as I haven't had any income due to my debilitating injury.
I was a union OSHA instructor. I was Master Apprentice Competitor. I was a certified Technical Trainer. I was a Mentor for apprentices.
I have always been the one helping everyone else.
This goes against everything that I am but, now I am in need of help.
Thank you,
Kevin
