Hi I am Dougie. I was a teacher and loved to run and dance! In October 2024 I caught a virus which I never recovered from, leading severe fatigue, cognitive dysfunction and several neurological symptoms. I got a diagnosis of ME/CFS and POTS. I have been housebound for about a year now and cannot work. I am only able to walk about 50m before I have to sit down and rest, it would be really life-changing to have an electric wheelchair meaning I can go out more, further and be more independent as I need a lift to anywhere beyond the end of the road. Because of the fatigue I need an electric wheelchair because a push chair doesn't reduce energy consumption. The model I am hoping to purchase is this electric wheelchair.
