A year ago, my mom suffered a medical emergency that has left her unable to control her legs. She has been using a wheelchair and we expect that she will continue to use a wheelchair from now on. We would like to help her live as comfortably as possible despite her limitations, but the high cost of medical supplies has kept us from providing her the electric chair lift she desperately needs. We live in a two-story home where bathrooms and bedrooms are upstairs. With your help, my mom would be able to sleep comfortably in her room and use the shower upstairs- comforts that you and I take for granted.
