Eleanor’s Cancer Treatment Fund
Doação protegida
On May 8, 2023 my 12 year old niece, Eleanor Guimarin (Who we affectionately call E), was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic b cell lymphoblastic Lymphoma. This fund is being set up for her and her parents, Kim and Steve, to help cover chemotherapy treatments and other medical expenses.
On April 28, 2023, after two months of on and off back pain, originally diagnosed as a pulled muscle, Eleanor was sent to the ER. An MRI revealed a parent’s worst nightmare, sizable masses on her lungs and on her spine, causing fractures in her spine. This led to Eleanor getting immediately checked into the neuropediatric ICU. After multiple days there and unable to perform a biopsy due to low sodium levels, doctors determined it was an invasive cancer and decided they needed to start Eleanor on a broad chemotherapy treatment. A biopsy was finally able to take place days later, giving us her diagnosis.
As you can imagine Kim, Steve, Eleanor, and her older sister Sophia’s world has been turned upside down in a matter of days. Kim and Steve both work and the last thing they should be worrying about right now is medical bills and getting back to work. I am hoping this fund can cover hospital bills and ongoing treatments and allow them to give all their attention to their sweet daughter.

Those that know Eleanor, know what a light she is to everybody she meets. She loves reptiles, plays the sax in her school band, and is an amazing artist. She has a sense of humor that is mature beyond her years and you can’t help but love being around her. She has the most beautiful smile and has kept as positive an outlook through the last week and a half as any child could under the circumstances. Knowing she will lose her beautiful hair in the coming weeks, she even asked if she could try out bangs before it goes. Such a sweet girl. Her positivity and optimism are her weapons to fight this horrible disease and she has many family and friends fighting with her.
We know not everybody can contribute financially to her cause and that is ok. Other ways to help are sharing this on your social media accounts as well as donating blood to help her and others in her situation. She is type O+ and will be in need of transfusions.
Please keep Eleanor and her family in your thoughts and prayers. We are putting positivity into the universe and know that E is a fighter and will overcome this.
