It feels surreal to even write this out, but I am locked in a battle with MND and the game has been fixed.
People keep asking what they can do.
If you happen to be a a medical researcher, please find out the source of this needless evil so it can be prevented or stopped in its tracks.
What? You’re not a a medical researcher?
Well of course you’re not!
Then there’s two or three things you can do to help me or the broader battle against Motor Neuron Disease.
1. If we are already acquainted, visit me at my home in NSW, Australia. Tell me what you’re up to, the good stuff and the bad. What has been happening, what are you planning for the future. Distractions are great, I like to feel a sense of normality, continuity and that things are still going on in the world. I’m living vicariously through you.
2. Donate some money here. Half I will pass on to MND New South Wales. The other half I will be using to create a garden at my new family home. The garden is set to be accessible friendly, allowing me (and in the future, others with mobility restrictions) to be ‘in amongst’ a garden rather than feeling as though we are outside trying to look in. I hope it will be tactile and interactive. Money will go to plants, landscaping, watering systems and seating/gazebo, etc.
3. Alternatively, please feel free to go directly to MND NSW or any other MND charity and donate directly.
