Eldery dog attacked by pitbull in need of surgery

Hi, my name is Amy. Not long ago we adopted a new dog, mixed pit bull. He has been aggressive a few times since he came into the household and has bit our family members but not our dogs. My mom kept saying to give him a chance. But tonight he suddenly attacked our elderly doggy who is the sweetest friendliest dog ever who gets along with almost every living creature. Our beloved Doggy now has a broken hanging jaw and he was trembling in pain and there was blood everywhere. We are headed to the emergency room this minute. Please help donate for his surgery, anything will help. It is very heartbreaking, he has been with us for almost 10 years and is like family. Please please help. Thank you everybody.

Update: the doctor estimated the surgery to be around 6k-7k. The doctor stopped the bleeding and gave him sutures last night with some medication to bring home. We were told to bring him back to checkup in a week and see plans for surgery. Right now he is in a separate room and is on a liquid diet, he cannot eat on his own and we feed him using a syringe.

When we got the new dog we were only told he’s a shih-tzu mix and that he is super friendly. He had not been aggressive for the past month so we thought he had adjusted already. We did not except for the incident to happen.
