Elderly lady that has been burgled

Hi, my name is Laila and I’m reaching out to the community on behalf of my elderly neighbour, a 74-year-old woman who recently experienced something no one should have to go through—her home was burgled while she was in the hospital.

She’s a well-known and much-loved member of the Thurnby Lodge area, but sadly has no close family for support. During the break-in, thieves stole cash, jewellery, and other deeply personal items. This has left her not only without essentials like food and pet supplies, but also feeling extremely vulnerable and unsafe in her own home.

I’m asking for your help to raise funds so she can recover some of what was taken and ease the stress she’s now facing. Your support will go directly to her for:

• Replacing stolen items

• Buying groceries and pet supplies

• Improving home security

• Helping her feel safe and cared for
