Elderly in need of relocation assistance

Hello my name is Alex Wilhelm and I am putting together this fundraiser to help my grandparents relocate to a new home. Linda and Chris have been married for 40 years and have been through a lot in those 40 years, but this, by far, is the hardest challenge they have had to face. At age 70 and 76 and having lived in their Joshua tree home for 15 years, they are being evicted in 45 days. Any eviction is hard but when you are making disabled seniors move without a prospect in this COVID time it seems much more devastating.

I also need to mention that Linda suffered a stroke at age 26 and has been paralyzed from her left side (which was her dominant side) since then. She had to re-learn to talk, walk and do all the things we take for granted. Despite this, she has always had a sweet, hopeful and courageous disposition. Her faith has never waivered. She is now wheelchair bound and has limited use of her only hand but she continues to paint and make beautiful art! Chris was diagnosed with prostate cancer a couple years ago and has been battling that as well as having undergone multiple spinal surgeries that have left him limping and in pain. They both are shell shocked with the news of eviction and are trying to find another place. They are hoping to find a trailer park to move into but moves are so expensive and especially when you are on a very limited fixed income. Linda has sold some of her paintings but certainly not enough to cover expenses. This is why we are hoping to raise $5000.00 to help them out with the move. Any assistance to their cause will be so greatly appreciated!
