Elderly Grandfather lost home to Arson

StanleyCarter  "Paw Paw"  left his home Saturday evening to visit his sick sister-in- law, who is currently in ICU at Atrium Medical Center in Pineville, NC.   After visiting with his sister, he decided to also check on his nephew before going home. But while he was out visiting the sick and shut in,  someone was maliciously setting the home that he lived in for over 34 years on fire! The same home that he as single custodial father had raised his only son and shared so many good memories with his grandchildren. 
"Paw Paw" as his grandchildren affectionately called him, use to spend hours on that same living room floor playing their favorite game "chase the rabbit". Although Paw Paw haven't been in the best of health lately, and getting up off the floor was harder than getting down on it, all that mattered to him was watching his grandkids scream with laughter. 
Paw Paw lived modestly and independently on his meager salary, and couldn't afford homeowner's insurance.  Now everything he ever owned was burned down in his home.  "It had to be God that told me to stop and visit my nephew when I did.  I use to sleep right there on that sofa in the living room sometimes and I could've died in there..", says Paw Paw, through tears and trying to remain optimistic. He confesses that "God don't put nothing on nobody that they can't bear". 
Anyone that's suffered through a tragedy like this knows that is it only so much that the Red Cross could do to help. We're trying to help raise money to help him rebuild his family home.  Please help donate to our cause to help to him rebuild his life back together.  For whatever reason or motive this arsonist had, don't let this arsonist win! Let's rally around Paw Paw and give him OUR COMMUNITY'S SUPPORT! All we need is at least 60,000 people to give just $1 and Paw Paw can began rebuilding again!
