My name is Brunette Phillips. I am an older widow and am disabled from a stroke a few years back. My husband and I worked for one family for many years and I have lived in our house on their farm property for 30 years. My husband passed away in 2015 and despite being disabled from my stroke I have continued to live independently in our home where I enjoyed my life with my husband, raised my kids, and made thousands of happy memories. The owner promised us a life estate in our home, or another home if the property was ever sold, but never put it in writing. He now has dementia and the farm property was sold in early May which means I have to move from my home. I am heart-broken that I am being forced to move at this point in my life and I do not have the funds to start over in a new place. I have until July 8th to vacate the property and find a new home. I need money for moving expenses, deposits on an apartment, and a start on my new ongoing living expenses.
