Elderly, Disabled, Evicted

Hi my name is Deanna Polk and after living here for 14 years I'm being evicted by new owners who want to double/ triple the rent. My saving from Nursing and Disaster Response were used caring for my mother before she died, my only income at this time is Social Security. The new landlords got away with giving relocation funds based on 2010 market values instead of current market values which would have give me $5,000 more. I didn't have money for an attorney and Legal Aid was disappointing. The only place I could afford is located out of State which is going to cost me $2,300 just to ship my truck.

So many women my age are going through this and I hate asking but was encourage by a friend.

I'll be 70 this year and recently had two hip replacements and a knee replacement and now I'm supposed to have back surgery, but it' going to have to wait.

I am extremely grateful for any assistance given.
