My 88-year-old father recently underwent surgery for an infected intestine and was also diagnosed with cancer. As his only willing family (daughter), I traveled from California to support him during this difficult time. Unfortunately, upon my arrival to Louisiana to care for him, I discovered that he has been living in hazardous conditions, with black mold in his AC unit, mice, roaches, and bedbugs — all of which threaten his health and wellbeing.

I'm now faced with the urgent need to relocate him to a safer, healthier environment. The costs of moving, unpaid medical bills, along with ongoing hotel, transportation, and extermination/cleaning expenses, have become financially overwhelming. As I try to balance these urgent needs with my own bills back home & having to file for FMLA (not currently receiving) I am reaching out for help.
