Help Sylvia and Paul Bicknell- Home Burned Down

Donation protected
Gang,

On October 12, 2019, Sylvia and Paul Bricknell's home in Fernandine Beach, Florida caught on fire and basically burned down.  They have lost everything. Many of you may know Sylvia and Paul. They are Ed Berry from, "For The Health of It's" parents. They are the sweetest elderly couple that have opened up their home for me a time or two to catch some surf. They both have always been full of life and such a treat to be around. I actually went to Costa Rico one time with Paul. To add fuel to this horrible fire, Sylvia has a very aggressive cancer and the prognosis is not good.  Can you imagine that fight? When you need your home the most for comfort and healing, it is gone. They have insurance but are stuck in the waiting game.  As you can imagine, being elderly they do not have a lot of spending money.  This brings me to my friend. Ed Berry has been a beacon of hope and light to our area.  He has helped get traffic lights on 98 when we were desperate and people were literally being killed weekly on 98.  He has helped when hurricanes come knocking by taking folks in, feeding people and giving financially until it hurts.  He helps with local schools and has donated his time, energy and finances time and time again. Ed has even helped stop an asphalt plant at peach creek. I could go on and on about his altruistic ways. They are plentiful.  As a matter of fact, I don't know of a time he has not jumped in to lend a helping hand. But, now its his turn. They need help and I felt as a community we could maybe help him a little financially but also maybe show him and his folks some love. I hope you will consider a small  donation. Every dollar helps. We hope and pray the raised funds will offer them some relief and help bridge the gap financially until they can get insurance engaged. Every nickel will be used to help get Paul and Sylvia the essentials they need.  Please note, they lost everything. They do not take this lightly as the family is usually on the giving end. Paul has even stated once their insurance money comes in, they will pay folks back.  I suggested instead of that, maybe they continue to pay it forward as they have always done. Thanks again for considering this and caring. We truly never know when we could be the ones seeking help.

Sincerely,

Bobby J
