Hello everyone,
We are starting this fundraiser for our dad, Frederick Scott Priebe. Below is a statement from mom to describe the unfortunate situation. Dad is suffering from a major head injury and a broken rib. The funds will help them directly to afford an attorney, hospital costs, and hotel fees for mom since they are in Georgia. We are not sure of how much this will cost yet. “On 8/8/21, my husband, Frederick Scott Priebe, age 65, was assaulted at a truck stop in New Mexico. During the confrontation, my husband was hit on the left side of his head with a full gallon jug of fluid resulting in a major head injury. On 9/21/21, my husband had emergency brain surgery in Atlanta, Georgia, as a direct result of this assault.

After obtaining a copy of the police report I was told there is no indication that there were any witnesses. There was one witness to the entire exchange who was another truck driver. I was able to track him down, and I was told that he spoke to both deputies that came to the scene, yet there is no record. Additionally, when I reported the assault to the manager at the truck stop, he came out to speak to the criminal, and they both got into a shouting match with each other. I do not know if there are any videos of the assault. However, the witness’ wife took pictures. I am not aware that the deputies spoke to the manager either.
I intend to pursue this as far as I possibly can. We have acquired major medical bills, along with expenses acquired from needing to stay in the Atlanta area. In addition, my husband cannot work for an extended period of time.”
