Elderly, Alone Neighbor Badly Needs Help

Hi, I'm Tammy. I normally help rescue cats and dogs. Everyone that knows me, knows I'm legit. This time I need help trying to save a person.

I will not mention names, to preserve her pride and dignity. It's tough asking for help and having to face your neighbors every day. I, myself, just learned of the situation today and this has been going on for 5 months or longer.

The woman I'm trying to help has gone through a loss of career, then loss of husband, then loss of home, then her mother passed, then she needed surgery, severe depression and now needs more surgery. All this in a matter of 4 years. She also has never had to handle things on a day to day basis and now finds herself completely alone. A frail 72 year old woman with no family members or close friends. No one to help her.

She is currently, and has been for the past 5+ months, living with no water and no electricity. She can not wash clothes, take showers, wash dishes, cook....nothing. imagine trying to deal with pain and depression and then having to sit in the dark all day and night. She normally handles things pretty well, but her illness has made things extremely hard and she stumbled a bit, then things snowballed. She now has no way out without help.

I'm hoping that with a little help from other neighbors, I can get her power and water turned back on, get her home cleaned and her food resupplied. Any bit you can give to help could make a huge difference in an elderly woman's life, who doesn't see much hope these days.
