Black Elder Veteran& Father Needs Survival Funding

Guy Washington is a 64-year-old elder, veteran, native, and resident of Washington, DC. Guy experienced a stroke this week and is currently in the hospital. He's stable and doing alright. However, at the moment his health insurance is in the process of being reinstated. He currently needs funds to pay for medication. He will also have to stop working indefinitely and needs funds while he recovers.

He is a self-employed Home Improvement Contractor. Who has 30+ years of manual labor experience in the DMV area, which includes but is not limited to plumbing, remodeling, basic electrical work, etc.
Despite the pandemic, he hasn’t stopped working and putting himself at risk with every job opportunity. He loves his craft and thoroughly enjoys the work he does for the community.

However, it not sustainable. He is diabetic who also has hepatitis c. The pay is never enough and it is extremely taxing on his physical health. Unfortunately, he is behind on numerous bills and overdraft multiple accounts. His car is currently in danger of being repossessed, which would make working virtually impossible for him.

He is also the single parent of a 21-year-old college student that suddenly lost their mother in 2019. His child, Tifah has had to unenroll from Temple University (senior studying Art Education) indefinitely due to an overdue college bill and the pandemic.

The funds raised will go towards medical expenses, overdue bills, overdraft bank accounts, car note, and his overall survival.
