To our family, friends, and valued guests,
As many of you already know, the State of Illinois has mandated the closing of all bars and restaurants to dine-in customers to help stem the spread of COVID-19. In accordance, El Che Steakhouse & Bar has suspended operations until that mandate is lifted. This puts our Che family out of work until this crisis is over.
While we're confident this was the correct course of action, it is going to hurt the most financially vulnerable first. Our top priority is now and has been the safety and well being of our co-workers. That said, our goal is to raise several weeks of pay for our staff. We will work diligently to make sure we all get through this crisis with the minimum amount of pain and suffering.
100% of the proceeds will go directly to our staff.
The Chicago restaurant community is the greatest in the world.
Let's check in on each other to make sure we're getting through this like the family we are. We will keep you updated as we learn more.
