Hello friends, my name is Kenya, and my ferret Elara needs help.

 

Some of you may know me from my youtube channel, Friendly Neighborhood Ferrets, or others may have just stumbled across this fundraiser. For those who don't know me, I'm a 25-year-old crazy ferret lady from Canada. I have four beautiful girls: Lyra, Andromeda, Elara, and Nova. My ferrets are my life, I wouldn't be where I am without them.

 

 

Elara is a 3-year-old white ferret with a big personality and lots of love in her heart. Last week I brought her to the vet for an annual exam, not expecting anything to be wrong. Unfortunately, the vet found a large tumor growing in her abdomen that needs to be surgically removed. A few months ago, I had 3000$ in my ferret emergency savings, but I used all of it while trying to save the life of my 5-year-old sable ferret, Luna. She passed away shortly after surgery. Since then, I've been slowly trying to save up their emergency fund again, but I've only managed to put away about 400$. If the tumor isn't removed, it will continue to grow until she eventually needs to be put down due to poor quality of life. There is no way to remove the tumor, besides surgically. Elara is young, healthy, and full of life which makes the vet believe she'll make a quick recovery once the tumor is removed.
