Hi my name is Linda and I love and adore my Elan. Some may know her as Ch. Logos My Glass Is Full Of Sunshine.
She has been through a very rough 2 months. We took a trip for a breeding. Everything looked good. We thought she was pregnant. On day 33 right before her ultrasound, she had a massive discharge. Rushed her to Emergency Vet. The ultra sound reveal open pyometria. We were there for 3 days. The hope was she could clear out the rest of the fluid. She was discharged on the hope she would get better. 10 days later we were back in, her white blood count was off the wall. Had gone off her food, a little more fluid in the uterus than when she was discharged from the ER vet. She had gone of her food also, We had to wait 5 days for a culture to come back. She had e-coli in the uterus, but she had another odd bacteria from the soil. This one was taking it's toll. She had to have an emergency spay last night. But the good news is she is home again in my house, her vet bills were huge. The funds would be able to pay her bills for her care. Knowing how much I love her the gods have been with her. She is a stoic young girl and has the rest of her life ahead with me. She is home now where she belongs
