On the 18th of April 2016 Elaine Boulavsky, a proud Mother of three, was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (Estrogen positive and HER2 positive). Breast Cancer.
Elaine is one of the most outwardly courageous, loving, and God fearing women that this world has ever seen.
20 years ago at the age of 32, she was first diagnosed with Hungtintons disease-an inherited disease that causes the progressive breakdown (degeneration) of nerve cells in the brain. Since then she has undergone countless trials and treatments, when most would have given up, she just continued to grow stronger in her faith and her mind seeing this as just another "hiccup" in her life's journey.
3 years ago at the age of 49, the Boulavsky's lost their family home and all of their belongings to a house fire. Devestated, the family kept their trust in God and sure enough 3 years later they are back on their feet ready for whatever challenge is sent their way.
Today at the age of 52, yet another "hiccup" in Elaine's life journey has presented itself in the pinkest of hues; breast cancer. The specific type of cancer that she has been diagnosed with is invasive and has spread to her right breast and both of her lymph nodes.
As expected, cancer isn't cheap nor easy. Due to her Huntingtons Disease, she has not been able to work for 4 years. Leaving Greg, her loving husband, working 60+ hours a week in order to support the family of 6 including her sickly father who she also cares for. All three of their daughters-Erika, Sarah, and Khrysta-are either going through college or already graduated, this means college loans! All those who know the Boulavsky's know that they are the utmost selfless loving family around, and that's why they need your help.
In order to tackle cancer, Elaine's oncologist has already set her on a plan that includes 6 months of chemotherapy, a masectomy, 8 weeks of radiation therapy, and hormonal therapy. Insurance only covers a percent of this cost!
We ask that you give ANYTHING you can, from a prayer, to whatever you can afford. Every little bit counts!
Please share this page with your family, friends, your friends friends, strangers, anyone and everyone!
We know that cancer has NOTHING on Elaine, she is a fighter and she is and will be a survivor.
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
-2 Corinthians 4:16-19
