Our Mother Elaine was involved in an unforeseen accident in late August that caused her a handful of broken bones, but unfortunately, the worst of it being head trauma. She was med-flighted over 4 hours away to Grand Junction CO for her best treatment, and thankfully she's been very well taken care of by everyone here.

Moms underwent a few different procedures and most recently has prevailed the ventilator. We were in ICU for 2 weeks and now we reside on the Neuro Floor with a long recovery road ahead.

We are extremely grateful for all of the things that she can still do, but there are many things she's going to have to learn all over.

We understand that with brain injuries it'll take time, and time looks different to every person in this condition. I won't deny that I'm not a little worried about what Mom's future looks like, but I feel at peace knowing that my brother and I have never met a more resilient woman.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out with good intentions and prayers for our Mom. Mom's strong faith in God has poured over on us and we can't wait to celebrate Mom's victory to full recovery in the next months to come.
