Elaine's Escape
Donation protected
Elaine left her house in a nightgown after trying to escape emotional abuse through suicide. Her husband watched her have stroke-like symptoms for 4 hours and did nothing, leaving her for dead. It's only thanks to a family friend that Elaine went to a hospital to recover.
Elaine is very excited about putting 45 years of abuse behind her, but she needs quite a few things to get started. She is living on Social Security and is having to go without state benefits while she transitions residency.
If you'd rather contribute belongings, contact me for a list of things Elaine is looking for to start her new life.
It's hard to start over at 72, but Elaine is incredibly resilient. She keeps repeating her favorite saying "I'm not going back. Like ever."
Please share widely, even if you can't donate!!!
